Dalaman Airport to Fethiye: Bus, Taxi or Private Transfer?

Travelling solo with a small bag? The bus is decent value. For one or two people the taxi is cheaper on the meter as well. From four people upwards a private car works out at about €21 a head (under €14 for six), and the comfort gap over bus and taxi stays enormous.

Muttaş operates shuttle coaches between Dalaman Airport and Fethiye otogar (bus station), timed around scheduled flights. Tickets are sold at the kiosk outside the terminal; the ride takes 70–90 minutes with intermediate stops, and luggage travels in the hold.

Two caveats matter. First, departures do not meet every flight — late-night international arrivals are the riskiest. Second, the coach terminates at the bus station, so reaching your hotel in Ölüdeniz, Çalış or Hisarönü means a taxi or dolmuş connection on top, adding time and cost to the headline fare.

Yellow taxis wait outside arrivals around the clock; Fethiye centre typically costs the lira equivalent of €50–65 on the meter. Journey time matches a private transfer at 50–60 minutes.

The fare moves with the exchange rate, the route and the night tariff, so agree a rough figure before setting off. Child seats are not carried, and a big luggage load may not fit in a saloon.

With a pre-booked private transfer, your driver waits in arrivals holding a name board — and because the flight is tracked, a delay costs you nothing and nobody leaves without you. Expect a fixed €83 per vehicle to central Fethiye in a Mercedes Vito (up to six passengers), €88 to Hisarönü and €92 to Ölüdeniz; a 12-seat Sprinter minibus to Fethiye is €126.

For a couple the sums are simple: bus plus an onward taxi totals roughly €25-30, while the €83 private transfer costs about €55 more and buys well over half an hour, a fixed price and none of the hassle. The more of you there are, the smaller that gap per head.

Many international flights into Dalaman land between midnight and 04:00. At those hours a Muttaş departure is not guaranteed for every flight, and there are no dolmuş minibuses from the bus station to the resorts. Taxis do run all night, but queues form in high season and the night tariff applies.

For arrivals between 00:00 and 05:00 the dependable plan is a private transfer booked with your flight number: the driver sees your actual landing time, waits free of charge after a delay, and you avoid hunting for an address in the dark. Just let your hotel know you will check in late.
