Muttas Bus from Dalaman Airport to Fethiye: Times, Ticket Price and Alternatives (2026)

The Muttas service between Dalaman Airport and Fethiye is line 48-25, Fethiye Otogar to Dalaman Airport: a route that runs via Gocek, listed by Muttas itself at 55 km, with a fare of 300 TL per person as of October 2026. The most surprising thing about the line is its timing. There is no published timetable for the airport to Fethiye direction at all, because departures are arranged around aircraft landing times. This guide covers where Muttas leaves from, the stops it makes, how and where you buy a ticket, what travelling with luggage and children is actually like, and how you continue from Fethiye bus station to your hotel. It ends with a plain cost comparison against a taxi and a private transfer. Every third party figure here comes from Muttas's own pages and can change with the season.

What is Muttas and where does it leave from at Dalaman Airport?

Muttas is the public transport operator of Mugla Metropolitan Municipality. Alongside the city routes it runs the lines that connect Dalaman and Milas/Bodrum airports to the region. So the vehicle you board for Fethiye is not a private airport shuttle, it is a municipal bus line, and its prices and rules follow from that.

The Fethiye line is numbered 48-25 and is called 48-25 Fethiye Otogar / Dalaman Airport. Vehicles leave from the public transport area outside the terminal building. Line 48-26 towards Marmaris departs from the same area, so check the direction before you board: both are "the airport bus", and they go to completely different places.

Muttas publishes the stops one by one. Heading from the airport towards Fethiye, in order: Gocek Petrol Ofisi, Gocek BP, Yaniklar A101, Acarlar OPET, Ciftlik Kavsagi, Volkswagen / Citroen, opposite Gunlukbasi police station, Gunlukbasi SHELL, RENAR, and the terminus at Fethiye Otogar. In the other direction, from Fethiye Otogar to the airport: Fethiye Otogar, Gunlukbasi (in front of the old Pamukkale office), opposite the Citroen dealer, Calis Kavsagi, Ciftlik Kavsagi, opposite Acarlar Opet, opposite Yaniklar Kardesler Market, Gocek BP and opposite Gocek Petrol Ofisi.

That list tells you two useful things straight away. First, the line calls at Gocek, so if you are staying there you do not need to ride all the way to Fethiye. Second, the line ends at Fethiye bus station: Oludeniz, Calis, Hisaronu and Kayakoy are not on it. Muttas timetable: when does it leave the airport?

The honest answer is that there is no published timetable for departures from the airport to Fethiye. Muttas states this plainly on its own route page: return times from Dalaman Airport to Fethiye Otogar vary according to when aircraft land, and no separate return table exists. In practice the vehicles meet arriving flights and leave once passengers are on board.

The opposite direction works differently. Departures from Fethiye Otogar to the airport are published day by day, because those runs are planned around departing flights. In the four day table published as of October 2026 there were between 5 and 9 departures a day; the first left between 02:45 and 04:00, and the last between 19:30 and 22:00. That is a snapshot of those days rather than a timetable: both the number of runs and the times changed from day to day.

Muttas also notes that times can change because of bad weather, traffic, breakdowns, accidents and changes to flight times. That is why we are not printing a fixed list of departure times here: it would be wrong within a week. The right move is to check the 48-25 line page on the day you travel, or call the Muttas call centre on 444 48 01.

For planning there is one point that matters more than the rest. If your flight falls outside the first and last run of the line, Muttas may simply not be an option for you. Scheduled and charter flights landing after midnight are normal at Dalaman. Do not assume a bus will be waiting at that hour, confirm it.

Where do you buy a Muttas ticket, and what does it cost in 2026?

You buy on board. Muttas states on its route page that there are no reservations and no advance ticket sales on the airport vehicles, and that credit cards are accepted on all of them. So you cannot reserve a seat online, but you also do not have to hunt for cash before boarding.

Fares are published in Mugla Metropolitan Municipality's airport tariff. Under the tariff in force in October 2026, including VAT and per person:

RouteKMFare
Dalaman Airport / Fethiye Otogar59300.00 TL
Dalaman Airport / Gocek22220.00 TL
Dalaman Airport / Ortaca23220.00 TL
Dalaman Airport / Koycegiz35270.00 TL
Dalaman Airport / Marmaris97420.00 TL

The tariff's own footnote says fares are rounded to multiples of ten. It is worth repeating that these are per person figures, because the arithmetic changes quickly in a group: a family of four pays 4 x 300, that is 1,200 TL to the bus station, with the last leg to the hotel still to come.

Muttas does not publish a separate rule for luggage charges or child discounts on the line page, so we are not inventing a number here. If the number of suitcases or a child fare is decisive for you, ask on 444 48 01. For a door to door comparison of the bus against a private car, see www.get4s.com/en/blog/dalaman-to-fethiye-bus-vs-transfer.

Dalaman to Fethiye: how many km and how long does it take?

The short answer is about 50 km by road and roughly 50 to 60 minutes in a private car. The figure moves a little depending on the source, because what counts as "Fethiye" and which route is driven both vary.

GET4S gives 49 km and about 56 minutes on its own Dalaman to Fethiye route page, which is the measurement for a car driving from the airport to the centre without stopping. Muttas gives the length of line 48-25 as 55 km on its route page and 59 km in the airport fare tariff. The difference is not an error, it is the route: the bus turns into Gocek and calls at the coastal stops, while a private car goes direct.

That also answers the question of how far it is from Dalaman Airport to Fethiye bus station specifically: the official Muttas tariff lists that route at 59 km.

There is a gap on the time side and we are not filling it with a guess. Muttas does not publish a journey time for line 48-25. What can be said honestly is this: the line makes nine stops in the Fethiye direction, so it takes noticeably longer than a car covering the same road without stopping. In summer, the winding stretch out of Gocek and the traffic coming into Fethiye both add time. If the exact duration matters to you, ask the driver or the call centre rather than relying on an estimate.

One last detail: Fethiye Otogar sits outside the town centre. The 50 minute drive ends at the bus station, not at your hotel door.

Luggage, children and the last leg from the bus station

Can you take luggage on Muttas? Yes, the airport line exists to carry passengers with bags. But because there are no reservations and no advance sales, you have no guaranteed seat. If you arrive at an hour when two flights land together, you may have to wait for the next vehicle. For a group of four with two large suitcases and hand luggage, that can mean waiting at the bus station at midnight.

Travelling with children raises two practical points. First, a municipal bus does not carry baby or child seats, and this line is no exception. Second, because Muttas publishes no separate child fare rule on the line page, you cannot know in advance whether a discount applies, so confirm on 444 48 01. For comparison: GET4S supplies baby and child seats free on request on its private transfers, you just note it when booking.

The third issue is the one most people overlook: the last leg. Muttas drops you at Fethiye Otogar, and you continue to your hotel from there by taxi or city bus. If you are staying in Calis, Oludeniz, Hisaronu or Kayakoy that second leg is not short and belongs in the calculation. When you compare prices, compare against "300 TL plus a taxi from the bus station", not against "300 TL". The alternatives: taxi, private transfer and car hire

Muttas is the cheapest option and this article is not trying to argue otherwise. You will not reach Fethiye for less than 300 TL a head any other way. The real question is when the cheapest option is also the right one.

Taxi. There are taxis outside the terminal and for one or two people the price can be competitive. The drawback is uncertainty: you do not know the exact amount before you get in, the tariff changes at night, and the queue can grow after a full flight. With four people and luggage you will not fit in one taxi anyway.

Private transfer. GET4S charges €75 from Dalaman Airport to central Fethiye and €77 to Oludeniz. That is not a per person price: it is per vehicle for up to 6 passengers, and it includes the meet and greet, flight tracking and road tolls, with no night surcharge. The driver waits in arrivals with a name board, a delayed flight moves the pickup automatically, you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the transfer, and you pay online by card or in cash to the driver. Fixed prices and route details are on www.get4s.com/en/transfers/dalaman-fethiye-transfer.

Car hire. It makes sense if you plan to explore the region on your own over several days, but it is expensive and fiddly for a single airport run: night collection, a deposit and parking all get added.

What the three have in common is that none of them suits every case. If price is not the only criterion, the decision comes down to how many of you there are and what time you land.

Which one suits you? A per person cost comparison

The only honest way to do this sum is to set the two currencies side by side without converting one into the other. Exchange rates move, so we are not adding TL and euro figures together; each is given in its own currency.

On the Muttas side: 300 TL per person, plus the last leg from Fethiye Otogar to the hotel. That is 300 TL for a solo traveller, 600 TL for a couple and 1,200 TL for a family of four, with the onward journey still to pay for.

On the GET4S side: €75 to central Fethiye, per vehicle, up to 6 passengers, door to door. That works out at €75 per person travelling alone, €37.50 for a couple, about €19 each for four and €12.50 each for six. Oludeniz follows the same logic at €77 per vehicle.

The picture that emerges is this. Travelling alone, on a budget, with a small bag and a daytime landing, Muttas is clearly the sensible choice. As a couple the decision sits on the line and turns on your arrival time: midday, take the bus; after midnight, take something that goes to the door. As a group of four to six, travelling with children, landing late, or staying somewhere off the line such as Oludeniz, Calis or Hisaronu, a private transfer both closes the gap on cost per person and removes the second leg entirely.
