Overview
This immersive day tour invites you to experience İstanbul through all five senses rather than simply ticking off landmarks. After a hotel pickup and a short briefing, you and your guide head to some of the city's lesser-known rooftop terraces for panoramic views, then wander colorful backstreets and hidden photo spots on foot to absorb the historic texture of the neighborhoods.
The journey continues to a historic inn where you can hear artisans at work, the ringing of hammers, chisels, and copper being forged, before moving on to lively districts such as Galata and Balat. A free lunch break lets you sample local dishes at spots your guide recommends. From there you visit the Spice Bazaar or a quieter spice inn for a presentation of Turkish coffee roasting, natural soaps, essences, and traditional scents, followed by tastings of Turkish delight, coffee or tea, and local snacks paired with their cultural stories.
For many guests the highlight is the hands-on workshop, where you choose an authentic craft such as ebru marbling, tile painting, or leatherworking and create a small souvenir to take home. The day closes with a final photo stop and an optional coffee or tea beside the Bosphorus before you are returned to your hotel in a VIP vehicle.
