Overview
Trade the coast for a day amid one of Turkey's most photographed landscapes. After a comfortable pickup from your hotel, you travel inland toward Pamukkale, with an optional stop for breakfast along the way. The private-group format means the day is yours, guided at a relaxed pace rather than shared with a crowd of strangers.
At Pamukkale you first explore the ruins of Hierapolis, taking in its Roman theatre, necropolis and ancient baths while your guide brings the history to life. From there you step onto the famous snow-white calcium terraces, where warm mineral water spills across the hillside into pools that make for unforgettable photographs. There is free time to wander the site at your own pace, dip into the thermal water or pay to swim among the submerged columns of Cleopatra's Pool (entry not included).
Midday brings a buffet lunch of traditional Turkish dishes at a local restaurant. In the afternoon you leave Pamukkale and return to your hotel. Hierapolis entrance, lunch, hotel pickup and drop-off and a live guide are all built into the price, leaving little for you to arrange yourself.
