Dalaman Airport (IATA code DLM) is the main international gateway serving the southwest coast of Muğla province. The airport has two physically separate terminals: one for domestic flights and one for international flights. Domestic arrivals from cities such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir use the domestic terminal, while every flight arriving from Europe lands at the international terminal.

Summer is by far DLM’s busiest season. From late April to mid-October, scheduled and charter flights pour in from all over the continent, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Russia and Scandinavia lead the way. Terminal foot traffic runs high in these months, so following the signage and staying patient goes a long way.

Further out, reaching Marmaris is about 90 km / 90 minutes, and the elegant southern town of Kalkan is roughly 120 km / about 2 hours away.

The HAVAŞ shuttle and public buses are the economical option, but they run on a fixed timetable and may require a change depending on your destination. Taxis are always available, but the cost climbs quickly over longer distances. For families with plenty of luggage and travellers who value comfort, a pre-arranged private transfer is usually the most practical solution.
